George D. Straggas

Biography 

George Straggas, the managing partner at Mediation Solutions LLC in Irvine, California, brings a wealth of legal knowledge to the table, with 30+ years of dedication to supporting California businesses. He delivers exceptional legal guidance in business and employment law, always focusing on cost-effective solutions.

Before founding the law firm of Straggas & Associates in 1997, Mr. Straggas served as the head of commercial litigation within the Financial Services Group at Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. Additionally, he has served as an arbitrator for the Orange County Bar Association's Attorney-Client Fee Arbitration Program, serving as both a sole arbitrator and as the lead arbitrator on numerous three-arbitrator panels.  

Mr. Straggas began his academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1983. He then pursued his legal education at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1987. 

During his time there, Mr. Straggas was honored with the American Jurisprudence award in unfair business practices law and won the McGeorge National Moot Court Best Brief award in his second year. After obtaining his license to practice law in California in 1987, he gained admission to all federal district courts in California and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

A respected member of the legal community, Mr. Straggas has shared his insights by teaching legal writing at the McGeorge School of Law and conducting programs on the American legal system in local schools. He has also contributed his time as a board of trustees member for the Orange County Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He has taken on the role of president for the Greater Irvine Lions Club. Additionally, he has been an influential figure in the Orange County Bar Association's Attorney-Client Fee Arbitration Program, where he has been a guiding force as both a sole and lead arbitrator since 2008.
