Statement of Mediator’s Vision

"Mediation is truly the process of guiding and journeying with parties to arrive at the mutual resolution of their disputes.  There are always and usually more impactful factors other than compensation driving the litigation. My vision of the role of the mediator is to first listen very carefully and then facilitate the parties in identifying those drivers, owning them, and coming to the mutual resolution that permits each party to recover and move on with the important tasks of living their lives. Engagement, innovation, and creativity are the most important tools in an effective mediator’s toolbox. A healthy dose of determination also goes a long way on the road to a successful resolution."
